Employee network groups
Our employee network groups are led by colleagues, and open to all, and help us get even better at being a diverse and inclusive business. They currently cover:
- Race, ethnicity and cultural heritage (REACH)
- Science, technology, engineering, maths (STEM)
- Young professionals
They’re all about raising awareness, sharing knowledge and information, celebrating diversity, and providing valuable feedback and ideas, to help shape our future.
We’re always on the lookout for new members to join our groups, or set up a new one, around issues that matter to them.
Learning and development
Encouraging, and investing in, your personal and professional growth and development is really important to us.
We offer continuous support and feedback, so you learn ‘on-the-job’, plus a mix of coaching, mentoring and collaborative learning. There are online and in-person accredited courses and qualifications – both personal development and technical programmes – to help you maximise your potential.
Secondments and shadowing help expose our people to different roles and teams, and our apprenticeship schemes brings new people to our business from all walks of life.
We also offer our people the chance to study for a degree, alongside their day job.
We’re also committed to supporting social inclusion and provide learning opportunities for 18+ through SCC Academy. We provide training and technology to improve their skills and employability and give them a great grounding in the world of IT.
