    Overall Job Purpose:

    A member of a specialist team of experienced, client facing, presales professionals who manage large, complex, technical workplace presales engagements. The role holder will work alongside sales colleagues to drive Professional Services workplace opportunities, and engage with customers to understand business requirements, mapping these into an appropriate technology solution.

    Main Duties of Job:

    • Work closely with the SCC new business teams to identify professional services workplace opportunities and qualify customer requirements early in the sales cycle
    • Work closely with the SCC account and service management teams to identify professional services workplace opportunities within existing accounts
    • Engage directly with customers, often on speculative/pre RFP requirements, to understand their business challenges and translate these into technology requirements
    • Advise customers on workplace technology choices and options
    • Acting as a single point of contact for workplace technical presales engagements
    • Developing customer proposals, statements of work, supporting cost models and defining proof of concept engagements where appropriate
    • Providing support to sales and bid team colleagues for the completion of bid responses including, PQQs, RFIs, and RFPs
    • Provide workplace technology thought leadership to customers and colleagues within SCC
    • Work closely with colleagues in the delivery team to ensure presales opportunities are handed over appropriately and with clarity in relation to the proposed solution, implementation approach, and customer engagement
    • Participate in peer review of documentation for presales colleagues across SCC
    • Provide regular updates to maintain accurate opportunity pipeline reporting information

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

    Essential

    • Ten years experience of working in a professional services technology role with at least five focusing on presales activities
    • Experience of presenting technical solutions to both technology focused and non-technology focused personnel up to and including board level
    • Knowledge of a broad range of workplace technologies with specific focus on four or more and a general knowledge of the following:
      • Office 365 including migration
      • VDI – Citrix / WVD / VMware
      • Windows 10
      • MECM / SCCM
      • Intune
      • Autopilot
      • EMS
      • Application virtualisation and migration
      • Persona management
      • Always on VPN
    • In-depth knowledge and experience of the IT services marketplace and the challenges facing organisations
    • Successful track record of driving pipeline and service development initiatives
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to think strategically and lead strategic discussion
    • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and technology trends
