    Our business continues to grow and we are looking to recruit a Data Protection Manager to manage our current team based at our European Head Office in Birmingham.


    The security and integrity of data is critical to the ongoing success and reputation of the SCC group. The role of Data Protection Manager will offer the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business across a broad range of activities (projects, new product developments, business processes, stake holder advice and strategy) to ensure that Data is used and stored and processed in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.

    Experience and Skills

    Qualifications and Expert Knowledge in Data Protection, Privacy and Subject Access Rights.

    Drive an efficient Governance Model to support DPA / GDPR compliance across the business.

    Provide ongoing training and awareness at all levels throughout the business.

    Ability to analyse complex legal and commercial issues and be able to provide effective and straightforward commercial solutions.

    Creation, implementation and maintenance of policies.

    Effectively negotiate with and influence stakeholders and others to achieve successful outcomes.

    Support and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments.

    Assist the team as required with managing the Data Incident Process: responding to a range of data breaches, data privacy and data security incidents and responding to business queries on Data Protection.

    Manage and respond to Subject Access Requests and Complaints.

    Support the management of information security incidents particularly where personal data has been breached.

    Interaction and Communication with supervisory authority.

    Act as a business advisor and expert you will demonstrate solid technical knowledge of data processing, data flow mapping and IT security arrangements.

    In addition, you will work well under pressure, prioritise tasks to manage deadlines and be a self-motivated, team player with the ability to work largely autonomously.
