    Programme Background

    SCC are currently undergoing a major transformation programme which involves standardising processes and implementing a new ERP System – Microsoft Dynamics. This is a multimillion, multiyear rollout of Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations across the business, including replacement of Finance Systems and Supply Chain Management operations including Warehousing and Transport.

    Job Main Focus
    • Ownership of the Data Migration activity for the Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations Implementation, including;
    • Leading on the data migration needs for the new solution
    • Overseeing and ensuring delivery of all aspects of data profiling, data analysis, mapping and transfer
    • Owning the quality of the migrated data and the validity of the migration processes and operation
    • Owning data cleansing required to support the migration
    • Recruitment and set up of a Data Migration Team

    Main Accountabilities
    • Devise and get approval for the data migration strategy for the implementation
    • Recruit and develop an effective Data Migration Team
    • Develop and implement procedures for effective data migration
    • Oversee and manage members of the Data Migration Team
    • Ongoing development of data migration strategies throughout the programme phases
    • Devising and implementing efficient and secure procedures for migration of data
    • Identifying the data migration required to support the transition through multiple phases
    • Oversee and ensure the production of a mapping matrix for all data
    • Oversee and ensure a gap analysis for any missing data working with the project team and business stakeholders
    • Review as is data quality and work with the business teams to put in place plans to address any required data quality improvements prior to migration
    • Oversee and ensure the building of data validation scripts

    Technical Skills/Competencies
    • Min. 3 years proven experience leading data migration from legacy systems to D365
    • Management and team leadership skills necessary to lead a data migration team
    • Excellent understanding of Data Migration Toolsets
    • Experience of data profiling
    • Proven project delivery skills
    • Excellent time management, people management and communication skills
    • Ability to design and implement the systems necessary to collect, maintain and analyse data quality
    • Strong stakeholder management skills
    • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
    • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
    • An analytical mind set with problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work successfully on large-scale projects
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detail-oriented tasks
    • Strong communication and influencing skills
    • Knowledge and experience of utilising MDM Solutions would be an advantage
