    The continued compliance to legal, regulatory and contractual obligations is critical to the ongoing success and reputation of SCC.  As part of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team, the role of Business Improvement Auditor will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to support and maintain a risk-based assurance programme across the business to ensure we operate in line legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, assess compliance with our certified management system and encourage continual improvement.

    Main Duties will include:

    • Completion of a comprehensive audit programme to maintain compliance with our certified management systems
    • Maintain certification to the required international standards and, where required, achieve certification to the additional international and industry standards
    • Ensure that all identified non-conformities are addressed through effective root-cause analysis and appropriate corrective and preventive action
    • Undertake and support investigations, continual improvement programmes and ad hoc projects to facilitate the introduction of best practice processes
    • Ensure local and management system issues, risks and changes are appropriately assessed, managed and mitigated
    • Managing external audits, to include customers audits
    • Audit and report on potential or established company suppliers, when requested
    • Act as the central referral point (subject matter expert) and provide guidance and support for all aspects of the standards and certification

     

    Skills & Experience:

    • 5 to 7 years commercial background
    • In depth understanding of ISO standards, to include 9001, 20000-1, 22301 and 27001
    • Lead auditor
    • Lead implementor
    • Risk based approach to planning, executing and evaluating internal and external audits and findings
    • Legal and contractual awareness
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to work with all levels within the business
    • Formal presentations to senior management
