SCC – Europe’s largest independent IT service provider, have a fantastic new opportunity for a PMO Manager that has a proven Project Management Office background, with experience gained within the IT Services Industry. The role will be based at our Birmingham head offices.
Working as the PMO Manager you will be tasked with a wide variety of key deliverables from project plan and budget reviews, stakeholder engagement and team management and user requirement analysis.
As the PMO Manager you will also be responsible for developing processes and procedures, in-line with best practice and stakeholder management.
Reviews the project plan on a regular basis and tests planning assumptions and timelines
Looks for dependencies and evidence of cross project engagement
Provides direction and leadership around delivery assurance and compliance to standards
Develops processes and procedures (in line with best in class standards) to meet the needs of their programme
Communicates fluently and effectively, formally and informally, with colleagues, peers and customers, on both technical and non-technical matters
Has clear understanding of the relationship between own area of responsibility / specialisation and the wider business

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Significant experience in a similar PMO role within an IT Services company
Leadership roles in the successful delivery of large scale Projects, preferably in public and private sectors
Commercial awareness and supplier management experience
Experience of managing mixed teams
Creative and analytical problem solving ensuring effective delivery of outcomes.
Highly effective presentation, communication, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
Prince 2 or MSP qualifications
Strong attention to detail
Current SC Security Clearance preferred
Experience of Property/Infrastructure Management desirable
Able to balance values of user, business and technical issues.
