    Overall Job Purpose:

    The Application QA Analyst is responsible for the testing of software and other computer applications to ensure they function properly and efficiently.  This testing will be both manual and automated of a variety of software applications required to support SCCs enterprise platforms and application landscape.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Report to the Application QA Manager
    • Conduct application testing across all required platforms and applications
    • Utilise automated testing frameworks in the enterprise platforms to review output
    • Utilise a variety of tools, testing applications and reports to compare the software to the user requirements
    • Ensure the software being tested functions according to the user requirements
    • Recommend changes / improvements to software
    • Work closely with the applications development team to make any changes required as a resulting of testing, and then re-test
    • Document the quality testing process – including the description of the testing, evaluation, testing methods, and any improvements to the software / application.
    • Participate where required in the instruction of users on how to use the software / application development
    • Act as a customer facing point of contact as and when required


    • Minimum 3 years’ experience, but 6 years desirable, of application quality assurance testing
    • Evidence of test plan construction for software / applications covering a variety of business areas – including finance, HR, Service Management
    • Experience of working in an agile development environment
    • Experience in a wide range of systems and applications including but not limited to;
      • ServiceNow including integrations
      • Microsoft D365 – CE and FinOps
      • CS3
      • Lifecycle
      • SQL/CRM
      • Power BI
      • .net
      • Despatcher
      • Biztalk
      • Azure
    • Strong programming knowledge
    • A good understanding of IT operations / business
    • Good communication skills – verbal and written
    • Strong IT skills
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
