    Overall Job Purpose:

    The Software Solution Specialist’s primary responsibility is the development or incremental software revenue and margin opportunities in new accounts, and through maintaining and extending software depth and breadth in existing accounts.

    Main Duties of the Job:

    Driving the growth of the Software business in allocated branches by engaging with the software solutions Sales Manager, Software Solutions SAM manager, Regional Sales Managers and Sales teams.

    The role is targeted on meeting and exceeding margin targets generated through:

    •Key vendor licensing/subscription
    •Key vendor software support, True-up and renewals
    •Key vendor Cloud SaaS and other annuity services
    •SAM Solutions

    There is also an expectation to support the sale of complimentary products and services

    The Specialist will develop account plans specific to each target sector and/or customer to drive Software and associated Service business

    Other duties include:
    •participate and lead responses to RFI/RFP situations
    •being the primary sales interface for software requirements in allocated branches and assist the local sales force in spotting and qualifying opportunities for the specialist to take on
    •being front of mind as the primary local sales contact for our key vendors
    •drive business development in terms of pipeline and forecasting

    Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

    We are looking for someone who is able to combine:
    •a broad understanding of relevant technology
    •sales operations and process of key software vendors (including licensing programmes)
    •awareness of complimentary technology/products
    •stakeholder management
    •tenacity and motivation

    The successful candidate will:
    •be commercially aware with strong sales skills
    •have a proven track record in sales
    •be confident working with a virtual team
    •have proven capability of selling both on-premises perpetual software license solutions and Public cloud/Private cloud software solutions and services
    •possess a good understanding of software licensing and software asset management to credibly articulate essential cost saving mechanisms through standardisation, rationalisation and consolidation of software assets
