Demand for our IT Services and Solutions from the Public Sector business continues to grow creating an exciting career opportunity for a Sales Professional to join our Central Government Sales Team .
The role :
To provide sales lead engagement into named , targeted central government accounts .
To win new business and increase on-going revenue/margins within the nominated accounts to facilitate peer-to-peer relationships with senior personnel to promote sales and deployment of SCC products and services together with other relevant solution offerings from within group companies .
To position SCC as a trusted advisor to the nominated accounts through the delivery of end-to -end solutions and services that deliver recognised best practice and methodologies , with demonstrable and tangible benefits to the customer in Total Cost of Ownership Management and measurable Return On Investment .
Main Duties :
To form effective business relationships with , and act as the principle point of contact to the target central government accounts and with the preferred vendors of the customers’ choosing , working with our internal teams to promote and maintain information sharing within the account teams – both internal and external .
To ensure that all products and services being provided to the nominated accounts are maintainable , sustainable and profitable and are contracted via proper legal processes to the benefit of all parties.
To be the recognised person to both present at and deliver seminars , workshops and meetings on SCC solution and service offerings to the account base and at senior level to ensure maximisation of understanding of the key drivers and needs of the customers and , therefore, matching these needs to SCC group offerings that can be deployed .
Act as product /solution/service champion and evangelist to develop and maximise the uptake and deployment of SCC group offerings within the account base .
Responsible for the delivery against an agreed margin target .
Skills and Experience :
Proven sales experience and track record gained selling IT Services and Solutions into the central government market , covering volume , enterprise and networking hardware products and managed services .
Demonstrable experience and track record of selling into public sector – including central government – in either a business development or senior account management capacity .
A good knowledge of managed services would be advantageous as would strong relationships with key tier 1 vendors .
